MEMBERS CHARTER

In an effort to clarify what ECOCLUB is about, and to define a platform for cooperation between ECOCLUB members, we have published a members charter at http://ecoclub.com/canon.html . By becoming and remaining members of ECOCLUB (Ecolodge, Expert or Ecotourist), members agree to respect the following members charter:

1. Members will promote genuine ecotourism by their words and actions. Genuine ecotourism is understood as tourism that financially supports environmental conservation, tries to minimise its environmental impact, promotes environmental and cultural knowledge with the consent and involvement of local communities.
2. Members agree to conserve natural resources at all times to the best of their abilities.
3. Members support international cooperation, human rights, animal rights and scientific reasoning.
4. Members agree to help each other achieve the above three goals.

ECOLODGE MEMBERSHIP

In June the following Ecolodge Members renewed their membership and support of ECOCLUB:
La Laguna del Lagarto in Costa Rica, Green Magic Nature Resort in Kerala, India, Mocking Bird Hill in Jamaica and Sonrise Beach Retreat in Jamaica.

We also welcomed three new quality Ecolodge Members, Tree Tops Farm of Sri Lanka, Genesis II Wildlife Refuge of Costa Rica and Bison Wells in Tamil Nadu, India.
