MEMBERS REPORTS:

By Robert Chase, of our Trial Ecolodge Members in Jamaica, Sonrise Beach Retreat

"I am so happy you can take the good news of our non violent lifestyle to the world by internet! We support every endeavor you are making to promote and sustain LIFE to our planet thru the Eco Tourism lifestyle. We thank you also for supporting Eco Tourism and Eco Lodges that promote sustainable tourism. Respecting the land, sea, animals, marine life, culture and heritage of our planet should be all of our #1 concern. But mostly we don't care enough for the beauty and life that supports us in the world so in our pursuit of money and pleasure we many times destroy the very things that give us life and pleasure. Kindly have your readers pray and support us in Jamaica for as you know much of the outstanding beauty of our island has be trampled on by a head long pursuit by a few to exploit its nature resource. Although not as developed by far as some other more commercial Islands we are hoping we don't make the same mistakes as other places have. So kindly pray and help us as we are trying by the help of the Almighty to preserve 18 acres and eventually thousands of acres of pristine Jamaican wilderness and sea and marine life in a proposed North Coast National Marine and Land Park. Jamaica is a paradise and we have laid down our lives to make at least one place where you can go and find the land, beach, sea and community living in harmony unspoiled by mass development. We know the purpose of the beauty spot and we know the power of nature to heal and restore us. But today in our modern way of living we have become disconnected to nature and don't know how to draw the life and energy from our Heavenly Father and our Earthly Mother. Our lives are concrete, cars and computers. When for the vast time of human existence we lived off the land and communed with nature and knew her ways. We at Sonrise Beach Retreat are determined to preserve one spot where you can totally relax with no outside disturbance (we don't even have phone's in the beach cabins) so one can tune into the ambiance and power of nature that is all around us. The magnificent sunrise's the singing of birds and beauty of the trees, flowers and the plant life. The sound of our wild cockatoo as she squawks good morning before she leaves to forage fruits found wild in the bush. To bask in the healthy morning sunrays and swim in the crystal clear turquoise waters. This is heaven on earth! This is how we were made to live...in the Infinite and Eternal Garden in harmony with our Heavenly Father and our Earthly Mother. Oh magnify YHWY with me and let us exalt His name together! May the good LORD bless your work and your readers. The truth will set us all free! Peace and Blessings to all!  - Robert (Bro. Bob) Chase"

Ecotourist Member M. Pitstick of Illinois, reported after a stay at Ecolodge Members: Casa Cubuy
We just returned from Puerto Rico where our stay at the Casa Cubuy Ecolodge in the Puerto Rican rainforest was one of the highlights of our trip. The rooms and the facility were lovely and very comfortable. The bed was huge. The setting was breathtaking. The staff was extremely warm, helpful, and informative. The food was delicious. Opportunities for hiking and and nature watching were right at out doorstep. We went with our two daughters ages 10 and 13 and they didn't once miss the TV. My younger daughter did not want to leave and she said that it was the best part of our trip.
