Interviewed by ECOCLUB.com, Brian Mullis, Co-founder & President of Sustainable Travel International, an NGO focusing on sustainable tourism, discussed the impact of travel on climate change and recommended carbon offsets as a solution for unavoidable travel-related emissions. Mullis also called for politicians to implement legislation that favours sustainable development, however was optimistic that voluntary measures such as sustainable tourism certification, which was 'well ahead of its time ten years ago', will soon prove themselves as demand has picked up. Brian Mullis was also optimistic that the environmental and social justice movements are merging into a single 'organic' and 'self-organised' movement made up of millions.
